The shroud sits so cleanly against the blade holder that it looks like one solid piece until you pick it up. At 3.4 inches and just over a third of a pound, it's got a nice heft without weighing the hilt down.
The two-piece design is what sold me—the shroud sits perfectly over the blade holder with zero wobble, and at 0.31 lbs it feels substantial without weighing down the hilt. Assembling it took me all of two minutes and the threads are buttery smooth. This thing looks like it belongs on a hero's saber.
The shroud and blade holder fit together so cleanly that it feels machined in one piece, even though it's two. At 3.4 inches long it's got a nice presence on the hilt without being bulky. Exactly the look I was after for my build.
