The stainless steel plates sit flush against the leather, so it doesn’t feel bulky when I’m swinging a prop sword around. I’ve worn these at two ren fairs and they’ve held up through all the fake combat without a scratch.
The leather is sturdier than I expected for the price, and the stainless steel plates feel solidly riveted on. I wore them to a ren faire all day and they held up through every sword swing without shifting.
The steel plates catch the light just enough to look serious without feeling flimsy, and the leather’s already starting to mold to my forearms after one weekend at the ren faire. Buckled them tight over a linen tunic and they didn’t shift once during a full sword demo, so they’ve got the tough wear
