The stainless steel plates sit flush against the leather, so they don’t snag or shift during a full day of ren faire fighting. Wore them over a linen tunic and the fit was snug but flexible enough to swing a sword comfortably.

The leather’s thick enough that I don’t worry about rips at ren faire, and the steel plates catch the light nicely when I swing my arms. Wore them all day at the festival and they stayed snug without chafing.

Got these for a knight costume and wore them through a whole ren faire day; the steel plates took a few solid bumps without any dents. Leather’s got a nice stiff weight to it that actually feels like real armor, not a cheap accessory.
