Didn't expect the crossguard to matter much until I started doing binds and lockups — those side blades catch incoming strikes way more than I figured they would. Balance in the hand feels right too.
Wasn't sure about a crossguard hilt until I actually dueled with it. Those two side blades saved my knuckles more than once, and they're genuinely useful for catching a bind. The balance feels great in hand.
The side blades are no joke in a bind—I caught an opponent's blade in a lockup and used them to twist his saber clean out of his hands. The crossguard balance feels solid too, not top-heavy like I worried it might be.
